Just got done planing the lumber down to almost final dimension. I usually leave myself enough length on the work to fuck up a joint here and there. Then all you have to do is cut the bad joint off and start from scratch. When all is said and done just cut the legs down to final length when the joinery is done. Its my insurance policy with this expensive ass wood, a trunk full of 12/4 walnut is oh so nice though....
oh yeah I added some 10/4 cherry in the mix too. I have another walnut plank that has been sitting in the stash that will make a nice top too.
